UPSC CMSE 2019 The UPSC has released the tentative dates of CMSE 2019. According to the UPSC calendar, the CMSE will take place on July 21, 2019.

Nationality:
- A candidate must be either; (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India; or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India.
- Educational Qualification: For admission to the exam, a candidate should have passed the written and practical parts of the final MBBS Examination
- A candidate who has appeared or has yet to appear at the final MBBS exam may also apply. Such candidates will be admitted to the exam, if otherwise eligible but the admission would be deemed to be provisional and subject to cancellation, if they do not produce proof of having passed the written and practical part of the final MBBS Exam along with the detailed application which will be required to be submitted to the Commission by the candidates who qualify on the result of the Computer-based exam
- A candidate who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the examination but on selection, he/she will be appointed only after he/she has completed the compulsory rotating internship
Age Limit :
- A candidate for this examination must not have attained the age of 32 years as on August 1, 2019, i.e. the candidate must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1986 The upper age limit is Relaxable; upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to an SC/ST; upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to OBC; upto a maximum of five years if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989; upto a maximum of three years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof; upto a maximum of five years in the case of Ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on August 1, 2018, and have been released; upto a maximum of five years in the case of ECOs/SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment of 5 years Military Service as on August 1, 2018, and whose assignment has been extended beyond 5 years and in whose case the Ministry of Defence issues a certificate that they can apply for civil employment and that they will be released on 3 months’ notice on selection from the date of receipt of offer of appointment; upto a maximum of ten years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and Orthopaedically handicapped
- The ad hoc Doctors appointed after October 1, 1984, in the Ministry of Railways will be granted relaxation in age to the extent of the period of service rendered by them as ad-hoc Doctors in Railways
- The medical officer will be recruited and posted in any central department
- The medical officer is supposed to do medical duties as performed by any doctor
- Indian Govt. can send the officer to any department to serve its employees, retired employees and their dependents
- The medical officer is responsible for allotting duties to the medical staff and makes the sure smooth running of OPD as well
- The medical officer makes arrangements to distribute work at the time of emergency. The officer manages his staff in normal OPD hours and is allowed to organize laboratory services
- The medical officer should be within 8 KM radius only as the medical officer's help may be required any time. The medical officer will get all the benefits as other central government employees get when it comes to accommodations, bonus, salary and other things.
CMS Application Forms and Procedure:
The notification of this examination is usually released in the month of May. The examination is conducted in the month of July. Eligible and successful candidates are admitted after an interview conducted by the UPSC for those having qualified the written examination. Verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents is taken up only after the candidate has qualified for Interview/Personality Test.
